Barry Zbornik
'Iowaz'Although most of my information and
resources involve Fayette county, many of the
families came through Clayton Co. I
have photographed the 1882 and 1916 Clayton Co.
Histories, and the 1886 Clayton co. plat map. My
photos are hosted online at 'Fotki'. All pictures
can be downloaded free by clicking a thumbnail,
opening a medium picture, clicking the 'get

Clancy Engler
Andrew Engler Homestead
Andreas I. Engler -
Margaretha LoessIn 1852 my great grandfather Andrew
Engler married & moved to Garnavillo where he
lived for two years before moving to the
Cascade-Worthington, IA (Dubuque co.) area where
he lived the remainder of his life. When Andrew
was in Garnavillo, he lived with John S.
Engler. John's daughters married into the
Anderson, Tonner and Troester families, some of
who still live in Clayton Co. John's son,
Charles, was a noted hardware store proprietor in
Garnavillo. My website explains the Garnavillo
connection & gives additional information on
the Engler family. I am particularly interested
in finding out who the parents of John and Andrew
were.

Matt Miller
Miller / Muller Family
History
My Miller (Muller)
family line has origins in Clayton County
(Boardman Township). The family was
originally "Muller" and came from
Luxembourg, I believe initially on August 8th,
1863. My genealogy web-site that has been
recently updated with significant information on
this family line. Click on Miller/ Muller from
the index page for ancestry and descendant
reports, ancestry trees, scanned copies of
original vital records, as well as pictures of
the Miller family taken in late 1800s and early
1900s. I have information from the 1870
census listed on this family. I have
pictures of the gravestones of the Peter Miller
household (including John Peter Miller) in St.
Joseph's Cemetary in Elkader. The Michael
Miller family left for Westphalia, Iowa in the
late 1800s.

"Monona Letters"
...a work in progress, called "Monona
Letters". It contains a collection of
letters written between 1877 and 1898. The
principle parties are my great grandmother, Alice
Grace Boyles Reynolds, her sister, Margaret Ann
Boyles Blaisdell, and a third sister, Emma Helen
Boyles Gray. There's no great historical
significance in the letters, but they're chatty
and gossipy and mention many, many people who
lived in Monona during those years. Margaret
Blaisdell was the great grandmother of my newly
found distant relative, Mary Anne Love Blaisdell
who did some brilliant research and found dozens
of little snippets of information about many of
those people, bringing Monona 1880 alive.
Additionally, the letters tell a very loving,
moving, and sad story. It occurs to me there
might be information which other researchers
would be pleased to find. And, conversely, other
researchers might have information to share with
me.
