The family numbers will be different in the Groth family

Only two children are mentioned in Louis'  obit,  so it is likely that their first-born is the child mentioned in this 1909 newspaper article: "The child of Mr. and Mrs. Louis Kempke, which was born, Sept. 22 died Monday Oct. 4th"

In 1915 Louis bought the C.F. Reincke farm 'near the junction' for $100 an acre.

Louis Kamp died in the 1918 influenza epidemic on November 8, 1918.  Caroline was pregnant with their 4th child at the time of his death.  Caroline died June 1, 1977.  They are  buried in the Postville cemetery.
